The Balticat shipyard, formerly Hüffermann, builds sporty, ocean-going carbon fibre catamarans as well as catamarans for the demanding cruising sailor in northern Germany using high-tech epoxy vacuum infusion processes. For 30 years, this German shipyard has been known for the high-quality production of cruising catamarans 12 - 15 m long in epoxy construction. Since 2014, the shipyard has specialised in the construction of catamarans designed by the Australian design firm Schionning Designs.
