The Agostina was built by the Sangermani shipyard in Riva Trigoso in 1946, before this yard moved to Lavagna, Liguria. It is a rare example of Rivanetto Ligure, a type of lateen sailing boat. The Agostina was always in the same family until 2021 and was used for both inshore and offshore fishing. It is named after the wife of its first owner, Domenico Stagnaro, who used it to fish for hake with her children until his death in 1953. After a complete refit at the Francesco Del Carlo shipyard in Viareggio in 2011, the Agostina is classified as a historic sailboat.
