Built to a design by R. Vitto by Automarine of Triuggio Brianza (Milan) starting in 1972, for a few years the Tortuga 27' was one of the most successful Italian motorsailers.
The wide, pot-bellied hull fully responds to the rhythms of cruising, ensuring good performance and manoeuvrability both in motor navigation (36 hp Volvo Penta diesel inboard, with a 50-hour autonomy) and in sailing.
Sloop-rigged, with a rather generous sail area, the Tortuga 27' reveals unexpected sailing qualities and a good response even in bad weather conditions.
