Modern power and traditional class. A combination of style and technology that gives a lot of satisfaction.
The 42 does not represent an exasperation of performance, but certainly a successful compromise of the three aforementioned nouns, with a certain propensity for the last, class, well combined with racing charm. This Rossocorsa, in fact, is a mix between a classic line from a few decades ago, with an attention to detail of sporty extraction, and a well-thought-out propulsion to exceed 40 knots with relative ease.
The boat is equipped with two Ips 600 engines with relative joystick that allow it to sail at 40 knots of maximum speed, 32 cruising, with very low consumption and last but not least very easy maneuverability, even alone and with strong winds.
The transom is characterized by a mobile swim platform thanks to an innovative system: two levers constrained near the centerline are rotated by a hydraulic power unit making the platform surface rise or lower. This has the non-negligible advantage of avoiding the presence of pistons immersed in water, greatly limiting the likelihood of corrosion. The cockpit is so large that it houses a generous sundeck behind sofas placed on the broadside. Forward of this space is the helm station where, on the right side, there is the wheelhouse upholstered in beige leather with a rich instrumentation. Every room is particularly spacious, especially the cabin thanks to the flaring of the jaws. If you want to welcome a guest for the night, in the room you can lower the table to create a top aligned with the sofas on which to set up a bed.
There is a complete kitchen with a Scholtès (Multiplo) hob, which stands out for the box-pots built into the cabinet that definitively eliminate the danger of spilling the food during cooking.
The hull is made of fiberglass (with the use of unidirectional, bi-axial fiber and fabric) with sandwich lamination with PVC core. For the first two layers of the bulwarks and the bottom of the hull, vinylester resin is used, while isophthalic polyester resin is used for the rest. The hull structure has reinforcement elements arranged both longitudinally and transversely. The connection between the superstructure and the main deck is made by means of a mechanical connection and an adequate number of fiberglass layers.
