Dufour 44 of 2006:
With a Volvo Penta D2 55 HP only 750 engine hours,
It's a "Cruising Race" type sailboat that can be manoeuvred on its own, it's a very good walker upwind as well as downwind (apart from the X Yachts and the Js, there aren't too many that go faster), it's super manoeuvrable, with a very fine rudder feel.
The keel is made of lead unlike classic cruising sailboats and the transverse mast is caught on the keel, which makes it very stiff to the canvas and very responsive.
It is a very seaworthy boat, very safe in bad weather,
It is equipped with the necessary reinforcements and fasteners for a jettisonable prop.
The rigging was renewed in June 2021, 2 years ago:
-The Genoa furler replaced by a new one: FACNOR LS200, identical to the original.
- The Stay, and 2 shrouds relaced
- The LAZY BAG and the "Cristal" of the new 2023 Capote!
- The soft top and the BIMINI were replaced in October 2017
- The Halle Bas was replaced in May 2016
- The Sail Drive Joint was not replaced, it was checked by the shipyard who concluded that it was not to be replaced
- The maintenance of the engine was done by a Pro mechanic (oil changes / oil filter / replacement of the starcher),
- The boat is equipped with a 3-blade folding J PROP propeller.
- The genoa is not very old, replaced about 4 years ago, it is a Genoa from DELTA VOILES, the mainsail is a very solid 2-reef sail from ETTORE YACHTING, it deserves to be machined, but it is in good condition and, very efficient.
-ONLY ONE Owner of the boat, bought new and delivered on May 17, 2007.
