This superbly equipped Van der Heijden 58 Diamond Wheelhouse offers a very comprehensive range of features and is designed for a comfortable stay on board, both during longer voyages and for permanent use.
The spacious aft deck features a fixed canopy, a comfortable fixed bench seat with matching cushions and a fully enclosable awning, fitted with integrated, removable fly screens. The aluminium wheelhouse structure has doors that can be opened in four sections, whilst the electrically operated sliding roof provides extra ventilation and a sense of space.
The helm station is fitted with a luxury Norsap helm seat with integrated autopilot controls in the armrest. Thanks to the large, one-piece side windows, the wheelhouse offers an excellent panoramic view. Dimmable LED lighting and air conditioning ensure a pleasant atmosphere on board.
The interior is characterised by high-quality finishes, with plenty of practical storage space, wardrobes with hanging rails and soft-close drawers. The galley is fully equipped, including a Whirlpool dishwasher and Whirlpool washing machine. The saloon features a television that rises electrically from a lift, whilst the owner’s cabin is also fitted with its own television. In addition, the yacht features a built-in safe, a central vacuum system, insect screens for portholes and hatches, and stylish pleated blinds.
The open connection between the wheelhouse and saloon creates a spacious and light-filled interior. The owner’s cabin features a freestanding double bed with a view towards the stern window. The guest cabin is also fitted with a freestanding double bed. In the forepeak, on the port side, there is a third cabin, which can be relatively easily converted by a joiner into a practical cabin with bunk beds for two people.
On deck, the yacht offers wide gangways with a fixed bulwark and double stainless steel railings for optimum safety. Other features include exterior lighting, stainless steel fender holders, a rudder position indicator, an integrated step on the aft deck and a deck wash system. On the foredeck, there are wired remote controls for both the engines and the autopilot, which makes manoeuvring considerably easier.
The easily accessible engine room is well insulated and offers ample working space for maintenance. The stainless steel mast can be folded down and the side ladder is easy to remove. For additional power supply, three solar panels have been installed on the deck, connected to a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60 charge controller. The on-board systems can be clearly monitored via the Victron Cerbo display, with the data also accessible remotely via a smartphone.
