Lagoon 450F (450 F Flybridge) – Extensively Refit, Ocean Ready, Privately Used
This 2012 Lagoon 450F (also referred to as Lagoon 450 F Flybridge) is a privately owned sailing catamaran that has been continuously upgraded and professionally maintained, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and long-distance cruising comfort.
The yacht has never been chartered and has been used exclusively for private bluewater sailing.
In 2025, the vessel underwent an extensive refit and preventive maintenance program. She is currently on dry dock, freshly micro-polished and waxed, and will be delivered with brand-new antifouling.
Engines & Propulsion
The yacht is powered by two Yanmar 4JH5E diesel engines (55 hp each).
Although the engines show comparatively moderate hours for their age, both engines were completely removed from the boat in 2024 prior to the Atlantic crossing for a full internal inspection and comprehensive preventive overhaul.
All work was carried out preventively to maximize long-term reliability and operational safety.
The saildrives were also removed in 2024 and fully serviced, including the preventive replacement of the bevel gears.
Rope cutters have been installed, and fixed three-blade propellers are fitted.
Electrical & Energy System
The yacht features a high-end, intelligently managed energy system designed for autonomous cruising:
– 800 Ah lithium battery bank
– 960 Ah lead-acid battery bank
Both battery banks are professionally integrated and managed via a BBSM battery bank manager (Clark Adventures), allowing intelligent control, monitoring, and optimized charging behavior across both systems.
Energy generation includes 2 × 400 W solar panels, providing excellent daily energy autonomy.
Power management is supported by two inverters (1,700 W and 300 W), allowing efficient separation of high-load and low-load consumers.
A Paguro 9000 generator, shore power connection, modern charging management, and full AC/DC distribution complete the system.
Navigation & Electronics
The navigation and electronics suite has been extensively renewed and upgraded. The yacht is equipped with:
– Raymarine Axiom 12" chartplotter on the flybridge
– Raymarine Axiom 9" chartplotter at the saloon navigation station
– Raymarine i70 instrument displays
– Active AIS transceiver
– Raymarine Quantum radar
This modern Raymarine setup provides excellent situational awareness and is ideally suited for offshore and ocean passages.
Sails & Rigging
New standing rigging has been installed.
The yacht is equipped with a new mainsail, storm sail, and a new Code Zero.
A drag anchor is included for additional heavy-weather safety.
Comfort & Layout
The Lagoon 450F offers a spacious 4-cabin layout with 4 en-suite bathrooms, plus two forward crew cabins (one with toilet, one without).
Five reverse-cycle air-conditioning units are installed (four cabins plus saloon), providing both cooling and heating.
A watermaker and bow thruster significantly enhance comfort and maneuverability.
The aft cockpit features teak flooring and a large dining table, creating a sheltered outdoor living area seamlessly connected to the saloon.
A foldable TV is installed in the saloon, allowing space-saving entertainment when not in use.
Dinghy & Tender Setup
The yacht is equipped with a 3.3-meter tender powered by an 8 hp outboard engine, providing reliable and efficient shore access.
The tender is handled via the davit system. When not mounted on the tender, the outboard engine can be safely stored on a dedicated stainless-steel outboard bracket installed on the yacht.
Structural & Preventive Work
Preventive bulkhead reinforcement was carried out directly by Lagoon.
All windows have been resealed, toilets fully serviced, and plumbing lines renewed in previous years.
A dedicated inspection access has been professionally added to t
