The very well-maintained Marex 290 Sun Cruiser in the hardtop version is sold because of the abandonment of water sports. The ship is first owned and was bought by the owner directly in Norway from the Aalrud brothers and then transported to Austria. The Marex was only sailed in fresh water.
Now the Austrian owner is selling the ship with a tear in his eye. He and his wife were very attached to the Marex and lovingly cared for the ship.

The MAREX 290 SUN CRUISER is a great family boat that is fantastic in the water. The powerful Volvo Penta supercharged engine pushes the boat through the water at up to 30 knots. The engine only ran for a few hours and the current owner had the engine serviced by a professional marine mechanic.
The soft top can be easily removed to enjoy the magical convertible experience on a beautiful summer day.
You will find a boat that is in a very nice and welcoming condition. Equipped with a salon with table and galley. Nice toilet with shower. Aft double berth transverse with a large hatch that provides good ventilation and light. One detail we absolutely love about the Marex 290 Cruiser is the large opening/exit from the cockpit to the saloon. It creates a fantastic feeling of light and space in the cabin. The boat has a hardtop with camper top. All canopies can be easily removed, so you can enjoy the boat trip 100%. - a truly magical experience! The cabin and kitchen are in excellent condition, the fabrics of the sofas and mattresses look almost new. The cockpit is particularly inviting. The engine and propulsion have been serviced annually and the boat is painted from below and 100% ready for summer adventures. .

Service was carried out annually by a specialist company. Hull and gelcoat were checked by a shipyard and a full service was made in 2024. Also the ship has 2 offgride solar panels, charging controller from Victron, lithium iron phosphate battery 300 Amp.
The ship also includes a dinghy with an electric motor and spare battery. Matching the holder for the inflatable boat.
