Description

Imagine casting off from the jetty on a summer morning – the water of the Havel is still as smooth as glass, the mast is clear against the sky, and the polished oak of the cockpit lies under your hands. The Kauri is not an off-the-peg boat. It is a unique piece with character.
What makes this 25cc dinghy cruiser from 1982 special is its consistent oak interior – carefully crafted inside and out, warm in tone, unmistakable in appearance. Where other boats of this era today show weathered GRP, the Kauri presents itself in neat condition: freshly refurbished hull, bright white GRP, complete stainless steel equipment on railing, pulpit and stern ladder.
With a draught of only 60 centimetres and the built-in mast-laying device, the Kauri is ideal for the Brandenburg and Berlin waterways – locks and bridges are child's play. The reliable Honda outboard with 20 hp and 4-stroke technology ensures economical and low-maintenance propulsion when the wind fails to blow.
Three berths offer space for a couple or small family - a long weekend trip is possible without any problems. The galley with a two-burner gas stove and stainless steel sink, the depth gauge and the cockpit canopy complete a well-rounded package that is hard to beat for its price.
