The new Nimbus T8 is primarily designed as a noble day cruiser for the archipelago, so that the Swedes can reach their holiday homes on the rocks at the weekend. As soon as you enter the boat, you have the feeling of having arrived in the noble class. Everything you touch feels high-quality - whether it's the well-made seats, the solid, sturdy wooden table or the immaculately laid teak deck on the floor. The equipment at the helm is very extensive and framed in a matt velvety surface. A large 12-inch Simrad plotter displays nautical charts, and an additional engine panel provides information about fuel consumption and performance. The Zipwake trim system optimizes driving performance and helps save fuel. Bow thruster, radio and Fusion sound system complete the helm station with the height-adjustable leather steering wheel. Backlit push buttons activate lighting and windshield wipers. A fully electronic gearshift controls the large 6-cylinder Yamaha, allows it to shift smoothly and dose the throttle with pinpoint accuracy.
There are hardly any technical installations to be found on the entire boat. Whichever Schapp you open, your gaze always falls on smooth, polished gelcoat. Only the fuse box with the battery main switches can be found in the locker under the seat. Only when you remove a canvas bag in the rear locker does the on-board electronics come to light behind it, with two batteries, boiler, water tank, electric and manual bilge pump and much more.
