Originally designed under the name 'GEM' (S&S design #1930/2 named in "The hundred best"), LEVANTE was commissioned by the famous sailor William Ziegler lll. The design of 'Levante' captures the imagination both on the outside and inside. In the early 1970s, the owner William Ziegler III won many races in the West and East Atlantic with GEM. Since only about five sister ships were built, we can safely speak of a ship that is unique in its kind.

Her hull lines remained unchanged, preserving her original performance characteristics. She can be sailed perfectly singlehanded, as all lines run right into the cockpit. The original drawings of sail plan and hull designs have been preserved in good condition and are in the yacht. The interior and exterior are virtually original and only slightly adapted to modern comfort. She sails excellent in low winds and can reach a speed of 8 knots in only 15 knots of wind.
