Initially designed for the transport of salt between the Sado salt flats and Portuguese ports, this sailboat has gone through many eras and renovations, becoming a pleasure boat on trips to Northern Europe, South America and beyond. Since 2023, the Albarquel has been sailing in Charente-Maritime, with the aim of promoting ecological and environmentally friendly sailing, while offering cruises and training on board. Facilities and comfort on boardThe Albarquel can accommodate up to 28 passengers at sea and 50 passengers at the dock. Its solid wood fittings include :P cabins equipped with single and double beds, with heating and washbasins. A fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, stove, fridge, freezer). A large saloon accommodating 12 people. An independent wheelhouse with all the necessary navigation instruments (GPS, VHF, compass, etc.). Recent renovationsThe deck and superstructures were completely redone in 2008, and the entire rigging and interiors have been carefully restored.
